Studio Lesson Policy

In order to provide and maintain a creative music education to Funky Fret's private students. It's most important that all students and parents understand and adhere to the studio lesson policy.

Tuition is to be paid before the first lesson of each tuition cycle. For most students this the first lesson of the month. Each student's name will remain on the schedule until the studio lesson coordinator is notified of the student's intention to discontinue.

Tuition covers all schedule lessons regardless of the student's presence, absence or cancellation. All teachers, the owners and management of Funky Frets approach music education as a career not a sideline. Thus, the necessity for a relatively stable teacher income is obvious.

Students are not charged for lessons cancelled for:

• National or Religious holiday
• Student vacation (primarily during the summer)
• Teacher absence

These cancelled, no charge lessons are always dependent on 24-hour notification. If a student must miss a lesson, the store must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the schedule lesson time. In this way, time will be open for another student to make up a cancelled lesson. The teacher will make every effort to reschedule any cancelled lesson though they are not obligated to do so. Lessons will be rescheduled according to the student’s and teacher's availability.
