(from their site ) Jay Umble has studied with world-renowned guitarists Pat Martino and Joe Diorio and has released three recordings which incorporate straight ahead/ modern jazz and contemporary styles. His latest recording project, "Spirit Crossing" with international percussionist, Jamey Haddad is a world beat / adult contemporary project. To order album, go to "In The Works" page. He is on the faculty of Bucknell University and Susquehanna University where he teaches guitar mechanics, harmony/theory and fretboard integration in addition to general guitar playing.
He has several instructional books published through Mel Bay Publications with endorsements from such jazz greats as Steve Kahn, Pat Martino, Paul Bollenback, Joe Diorio, Barry Greene, Sid Jacobs and Rene Stefano. His latest book called, "Payin' Your Dues With The Blues" is due out in the Fall of 2007. In addition to the States, Jay is also published in Japan. He serves as a jazz guitar clinician for the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz organization and also writes a monthly guitar column for the CPFJ newsletter. Jay performs throughout Central Pennsylvania with his Jazz Standards Trio, Duo and his modern trio, STRING THEORY.

(from their site ) Tyler was born in Stroudsburg, PA and graduated from Pocono Mountain High School. He then attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, before moving to Nashville in 2006.
Tyler learned guitar construction business while working with his father, Dale Unger, who is the sole owner of American Archtop Guitar Company. Tyler has been playing and building guitars most of his life. He produces original songs and covers a broad spectrum of musical styles. He can tailor his playing style to whatever style is required but prefers a more blues-based style.
Tyler was a C.O.T.A. Cat and performed in the Delaware Water Gap Jazz Festival for several years under the direction of Phil Woods. He toured with a country band throughout eastern PA and performed on the "Miles of Music" TV Show with Chuck Anderson. You can see and hear Tyler on Mel Bays instructional DVD with Bucky Pizzarelli. The Martin guitar company also sponsored Tyler to perform at a NAMM show at the Martin booth, and Tyler was the assistant teacher for NCACC College teaching Martin's design class.
