“You hear 3 notes and you know it's Herb Alpert !” - ( Miles Davis from a 1989 interview )
Here is my (Curt Sheller) performance of this arrangement. I used a Pono PTRC-CE Tenor cutaway, solid rosewood back and sides, solid cedar top, maple binding.
I have a dedicated page for this song on my UkuleleLessons pages with a TAB of this arrangement.

Tilapia Film is a collective of non-fiction filmmakers who use damn good music, stylishly funky graphics, and offbeat unique subjects to highlight environmental, cultural, scientific, and just plan “weird” issues of contemporary America.
“Weird and wonderful!” - The New Times
“A heartbreaking, sidesplitting parade of humanity.” - Village Voice
(from their press kit) Fabulously offbeat and refreshingly upbeat, this lovable film gets friendly with the natives of the Salton Sea, an inland ocean of massive fish kills, rotting resorts, and 120 degree nights located just minutes from urban Southern California. This award-winning film from directors Chris Metzler and Jeff Springer details the rise and fall of the Salton Sea, from its heyday as the "California Riviera" where boaters and Beach Boys mingled in paradise to its present state as a decaying, forgotten ecological disaster. From wonderland to wasteland, PLAGUES & PLEASURES ON THE SALTON SEA captures a place far more interesting than the shopping malls and parking lots of suburban America, a wacky world where a beer-swilling Hungarian Revolutionary, a geriatric nudist, and a religious zealot building a monument to God all find solace and community.
a conversation with Lance Mackey
This 45 minute video gives you an insider's look at dogs and dog mushing from champion musher Lance Mackey
(from their site)
“Appetite and Attitude: A conversation with Lance Mackey,” is a 45 minute video about the world’s preeminent long distance sled dog racer - and an Alaskan legend in the making! Crossing major mountain ranges, travelling down wide frozen rivers, across most of Canada’s Yukon and half the state of Alaska, this intrepid musher and his incredible “Super Dogs” have blazed over the trails, breaking record after record in some of the world’s most demanding climate and terrain.
In 2007 Lance Mackey made racing history when he won two 1,000 mile races back-to-back, the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod, with most of the same dogs - an incredible feat of endurance, long considered almost impossible. For his achievements Lance was nominated for a 2007 ESPY - Excellence in Sports Performance Award. His indomitable lead dog, Larry, is the only dog in the world to win the coveted Golden Harness Award from both of these grueling races.
